This example shows a banner stand that our client needed. At 33 x 86-in tall, the final file would be about 325-meg. They wanted a graphic design that represented all members of the Department of Defense. We searched several CD libraries and Defense websites and found a problem: none of the images were large enough to span the 33-in wide banner. Enlarging the best images to that size would have lowered the quality. Custom photography or super-high-resolution stock photos were not in the budget. The client and our designer decided a montage would be the best answer. Smaller images along left show air, land, and sea images. The top image shows the pageantry of all the divisions while the other images show many of the actions that bind all the services together: reunion, loss, letters home, training, maintenance, etc. The first 5 banner stands were so successful, they now have 14 distributed all around Texas.
